Little Black Dress Gala

The Little Black Dress Gala elegantly brings together socially minded individuals with the heart of giving back and seeing positive change happen in the city of Vancouver. The Gala celebrates and encourages the spirit of altruism and philanthropy in and amongst individuals, professionals and local businesses while bringing awareness and giving to the cause of helping marginalized youth within the community. For this great cause of youth and women, the giving and compassionate community of Vancouver enthusiastically gathers beautifully adorned in Little Black Dresses and evening wear, all glad to wear it for the cause.

Twice a year, in the spring and fall, The Little Black Dress Gala is hosted at one of Vancouver’s landmarks, the Vancouver Art Gallery. At this event all residents within Metro Vancouver and beyond are invited to purchase tickets, come out to the Gala and celebrate the established and give opportunity to the up and coming in the performing arts and design. This event is beautifully enveloped in live jazz, fashion, opera, and art installments. Everyone at this event has a great time enjoying the entertainment, mingling and adding the cause of youth impact to their life legacy.

The Little Black Dress Gala’s Charity of Choice is Help Change My City Alliance:

Help Change My City Alliance has been chosen as the charity of choice because of our purpose to help youth and young people with personal development, mentorship and advancement. Because of our cause we have been chosen as one of the organizations receiving proceeds from The Little Black Dress Gala. We are grateful for the kindness to us by The Little Black Dress Gala and all individuals and companies involved. Support from community helps us get programs started in the city that help the young people discover and understand who they are, their purpose and recognize that they have gifts and abilities that can change their lives, the communities that they live in and their future.

Your attendance and support of the Gala contributes in the following ways to Help Change My City Alliance:
  • Supporting of Help Change My City Alliance youth development and skill training programs
  • Giving post-secondary bursaries to youth who have overcome challenging circumstances and are hoping to go on to further their education
  • Employing of marginalized and homeless youth within the community
  • Supporting of Eats On The Streets – a community feeding program for the Eastside of Vancouver
Giving opportunities to women and single mothers who are in the process of getting on their feet. They are surprised with a ticket to Gala
